The children live in the bush in a humble house with their Grandmother. The colours of the soil the weather extremes, the plants and animals the children encounter along the way.

Mrs White the children's teacher is coming on a visit to their home and to share tea with them.
The children struggle to keep their homework clean and Mrs White experiences why it is such a challenge.
